Axis Bank-Wrong Chargers Hcl Technologis, Complaint

Hello,
I had a salary a/c with axis bank till Sep 2011. After that I left my previous job and so salary was stopped accordingly. Meanwhile that salary a/c got transferred to saving's a/c.
Some days ago I received a bank statement stating that I have Rs.280/- debit. They say I need to pay this amount in order to close my a/c.
If I do not want to pay this amount is there any other way.
Please reply at the earliest.
