In 2006,three power-related company of Torrent group named Torrent Power SEC Ltd, Torrent Power AEC Ltd and Torrent Power Generation Ltd merged to form torrent Power. Torrent Power provides more then 10 billion units of power to 2.2 million customers in city Ahmedabad, Surat, Gandhinagar, Agra which are domestic, industrial and commercial users. The company is going to launch 1200 MW gas power project at Dahej in South Gujarat.
