Have had an harrowing experience with Asus trying to get my laptop repaired around the 1 year deadline - the laptop shuttled back and forth from their service center 3-4 times for 5-6 weeks. And after agreeing to give warranty extension, they now they refuse to do the same.
They are an unreliable brand, and you should look at getting their products only in bargain considering a life of 1 year or so.

At the time of purchasing, got quotes of double the AMC rate that is being charged by Acer and other laptop brands. The dealer also said you might not need as they are new and will give good backup support.

sir i have purchase a dell laptop from jaipur on 22 december 2010 .after 6 month problemm is creat in my laptop then i contact to the dell technician department ,then they provide me support 2 times .
but before 3 month i contact to the dell technician deprtment for support he can not provide any types of support.he give the excause that this laptop is not valid in india because it is not purchasing from india .
but sir i purchase this laptop from jaipur(rajasthan) in india.
